Welcoming & Ardent Host
The chat is a reliable guardian of its cup-shaped nest and all those who visit. This gracious songbird regularly welcomes other birds to its sanctuary, sharing both shelter and sustenance.
Exceptional Anomaly
This devoted, communal bird was long defined as part of a larger family of birds. Then, just a few years ago, taxonomists acknowledged that the Yellow-Breasted Chat belongs to a family entirely of its own; one whose characteristics are truly remarkable.
